Environmental Stewardship & Sustainable Tourism
Kimaya actively integrates sustainability into daily operations and long-term planning. Our initiatives span:
- Resource and energy transition and reduction
- Solid and liquid waste management
- Biodiversity protection and site rehabilitation
- Coastal and marine conservation
- Green transfers
Through our Guest Engagement – and in partnership with Our Oceans, Our Life initiative, guests are invited to participate in meaningful eco-experiences such as mangrove restoration and turtle conservation tours, supporting climate resilience, biodiversity preservation, and coastal protection while deepening awareness and connection to Fiji’s natural heritage.
These efforts reflect our belief that sustainability is most powerful when it is shared, experienced, and understood.
Brighter Minds – Investing in the Next Generation
At the heart of Kimaya’s social impact is Brighter Minds Program, delivered through the Kimaya Foundation.
Brighter Minds is a transformative child development initiative focused on enhancing cognitive skills, emotional wellbeing, creativity, confidence, and learning ability in children particularly within underserved local communities. The program is boosted by the support of the Ministry of Education Fiji as an approved extra-curricular program.
Working closely with schools, teachers, parents, and partners, the program has:
- Reached more than 800 of children across Fiji
- Equipped around 200 teachers with new tools and methodologies
- Supported 100 plus schools with teacher training and provided teaching aids
- Supported children to improve focus, self-belief, and academic engagement
- Implemented Train the Trainer program as a fully funded program.
For Kimaya, Brighter Minds is more than a program, it is a long-term investment in human potential, ensuring that tourism contributes directly to stronger, more resilient communities. Kimaya Foundation has further invested in brining international trainers to train the teachers in Fiji and we hope to have at least 2000 children trained by end of 2026
Heartfulness Leadership & Conscious Culture
